GET TO KNOW ME!

Outside of my work in nutrition science, I spend as much time as possible outdoors. I’m an avid mushroom forager and hiker, and some of my favorite days are spent wandering through the woods with my two dogs, Juniper and Willow. Being in nature has always been grounding for me and continues to shape the way I think about health — as something deeply connected to our environment, daily rhythms, and the small choices we make each day.

When the weather turns rainy, I tend to slow down and lean into quieter hobbies. You’ll often find me curled up with a cup of herbal tea and a good book. I love a mix of fantasy and science, and I’m always happy to swap book recommendations.

Outside of the woods and my reading chair, I also enjoy bowling, trivia nights, and traveling whenever I can. One of my long-term goals is to visit every National Park in the United States — a project that will likely take many years, but one I’m excited to keep working toward.

Some of my favorite books include Braiding Sweetgrass, Devotions by Mary Oliver, The Human Superorganism, The Seven Year Slip, The Midnight Library, Fourth Wing, and just about anything by Sarah J. Maas.
